Carbine Training Courses

Carbine 1 – Carbine Fundamentals

Course Description:

This 5-hour Basic Carbine course is designed to provide the new shooter with concepts of carbine/rifle shooting. The primary focus of this firearms training course will be on fundamentals of marksmanship. We will build a consistent and durable connection to the gun, learn how to correctly utilize our vision and aiming devices, and learn efficient manipulation of controls. We will cover presentations, malfunctions clearance, tactical and empty gun reloading techniques, and introduce proper training and diagnostic techniques for skill development. The goal of this training is for the student to have the confidence and understanding to be a more capable shooter as well as develop the ability to properly train and progress their skills.

Ear and Eye Protection (Range Rules) – Semi-Automatic rifle – Magazine pouch – 2 to 3 rifle magazines

200 (minimum) rounds of practice ammunition – Shooting mat (Optional) – Note-taking material

Carbine 2 – Dynamic Shooting

Course Description: 

This 5-hour dynamic carbine course is designed to provide shooters with more advanced and dynamic shooting techniques. The primary focus of this firearms training course will be on improved marksmanship at speed, shooting on the move, target transitions, engaging multiple targets, and position entries and exits. We will test your fundamentals by pushing individual limits of speed and diagnose and correct errors when doing so. We will improve the shooters understanding of their own baseline of performance, develop the ability to self diagnose and correct errors, and introduce drills to expand their tools for training. The goal of this training is for the student to have the confidence and understanding to be a more effective and efficient shooter.

Prerequisites: Carbine 1 or Military/Law-Enforcement experience

Carbine 2 – Dynamic Shooting

Course Description: 

This 5-hour dynamic carbine course is designed to provide shooters with more advanced and dynamic shooting techniques. Carbine 3 – Defensive Carbine

Course Description: 

This 5-hour defensive carbine course is designed to provide shooters advanced and dynamic shooting techniques for rapid target engagement in various situations. The primary focus of this firearms training course will be on developing the ability to maintain high levels of accountability at speed in demanding situations. It will cover shooting on the move, target transitions while moving, and engaging multiple targets while moving. We will discuss the importance of space management and develop the ability to engage targets while creating and maintaining space. We will cover utilizing barricades and barriers and how to develop stable and consistent shooting positions from them. This is an advanced training course that involves a lot of movement and students are expected to have a high level of safe firearms handling skills and a solid grasp of the fundamentals of marksmanship.

Prerequisites: Carbine 1 and 2 or Military/Law-Enforcement experience

Low-Light Carbine

Course Description:

This 5-hour course is designed to familiarize the shooter with utilizing a weapon mounted light on their carbine. In this firearms training course the shooter will learn light manipulation techniques, low-light movement principles, and creating and avoiding photonic barriers. We will discuss different types of weapon mounted lights and what to look for when purchasing one, including things like candela versus lumens, types of activation switches, and types of physical light housings. The primary focus of this course is to give the shooter the confidence to effectively utilize their weapon light to engage targets in low-light scenarios. This course is designed for shooters who already have a strong grasp of shooting fundamentals and a thorough understanding of firearms safety.
