Introduction to Practical Pistol/PCC Competitive Shooting

Course Description:

This course covers all information needed to begin competing in any practical shooting competition. Whether it be USPSA, PCSL, IDPA, IPSC, or any competitive organization this class will get you familiar with match rules, equipment requirements, reading stage plans, different types of scoring, and an overall familiarization with range commands and match flow. If you are interested in getting started in practical competitive shooting, this class will teach you all you need to know to have fun and be safe at matches.

Course Prerequisites: Basic Handgun or similar LE/MIL experience

Required Equipment:

Eye and Ear protection – Semi-automatic handgun/PCC – 2-3 spare magazines (more is better but not required) – Minimum of 2 spare magazine holders

Appropriate holster specific to your equipment (IWB holsters require instructor approval) – If using PCC chamber flag and bag/case will be required

300 rounds of training ammunition (more rounds means more reps) – Note-taking material

Defensive Handgun Workshop

Course Description:

In our two-day specialty firearm training courses you will be exposed to over twenty hours of comprehensive training where you will learn and refine a wide variety of defensive handgun techniques. This course starts with basic handgun marksmanship and progressively moves through defensive shooting techniques, shooting on the move, multiple target engagements, weapons handling in a close quarter environment, defensive posturing, creating space, and applying all of these things in daylight and low-light environments. This course is designed to make you a more well-rounded and proficient shooter. At the conclusion of this two day course, you will get to test your skills against our handgun performance test. Those that succeed in passing this difficult shooting test will earn a specialty reward showing that they have completed this demanding task.
