Step 1: Choose a Membership Level

We offer a range of Recreationaland Corporatememberships, each tailored to how often and how seriously you shoot.

Step 2: Complete Your Onboarding

Once you’ve selected your membership, it’s time to get squared away with a few simple steps.

Paperwork & Registration

You’ll need to submit the following four documents:

  • Membership Information Form
  • Shooting Range Waiver
  • Membership Agreement
  • Rental Agreement

Make sure all forms are fully completed before submission to avoid delays.

Registration Fee:A one-time $99 registration fee is required for all new members. This remains valid as long as your membership stays active. If your membership lapses, you’ll need to pay the fee again upon rejoining.

Step 3: Attend the Range Orientation Class

All new members must complete our Range Orientation Class (ROC)before gaining access to Cowtown Range.

This essential course covers:

  • Range rules, safety protocols, and member responsibilities
  • How to operate without an on-site Range Safety Officer
  • Walkthrough of our online booking system
  • Q&A time to ensure you’re confident and prepared

Once you register, you’ll receive a welcome email with a link to schedule your ROC.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Range Orientation Class (ROC) is a required course that covers Cowtown’s range rules, policies, and procedures. Since Cowtown doesn’t provide Range Safety Officers, our members serve as their own RSOs, making this training essential for safe operation. The course also includes instruction on our online booking system and provides an opportunity to answer any questions you may have about using the facility safely and confidently.

There is a $99 registration fee for all new members. This is a one-time fee that remains valid as long as your membership stays current. If your membership lapses for any reason, the registration fee will need to be paid again upon rejoining.

Absolutely! We highly encourage all new members to visit the range for a tour. Tours are available anytime during normal business hours, and we’re happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

Cowtown Range offers two membership contract options: annual and six-month terms. Annual contracts require the full yearly fee paid upfront, while six-month contracts are billed in six monthly installments. Both contracts run for their full term, so please choose the option that best fits your needs.

No, you don’t need a firearms license or prior training to join as a Recreational or Corporate member. While not required, we highly recommend obtaining a CCW card. If you’re interested in an Instructor membership, you will need to complete a Range Safety Orientation course.

Members are responsible for bringing their own equipment, targets, and gear. If you need anything, Cowtown Range offers rental equipment available on-site.

Yes, we welcome both out-of-state residents and seasonal visitors. While we offer various membership types, our pay-as-you-go option is particularly well-suited for those who may not be in the area consistently throughout the year.

Members can upgrade their membership at any time. However, if you wish to downgrade, you’ll need to wait until your current contract term is completed.

Yes, guests are always welcome at Cowtown Range. Most of our memberships include complimentary guest passes as part of your membership benefits, allowing you to bring friends and family to enjoy the facility.

Cowtown memberships are designed for avid shooters who visit the range regularly. If you shoot more than a couple of times per month, a membership is typically well worth the investment. For those who shoot less frequently, we offer a convenient pay-as-you-go membership option that provides flexibility without a recurring commitment.

Yes, all members can participate in Cowtown’s training programs and classes. If you’re a Silver or Gold member, classes and training are included at no additional cost. All other membership types, except pay-as-you-go, receive member discounts on all classes and training sessions.

Once you register, you’ll receive a welcome email with instructions and a link to book your Range Orientation Course. Simply choose from one of our available time slots, and you’ll be all set. After completing the orientation, you’ll have full access to schedule and use the range.
